한국어교육에서의 비교문화적 화행 연구와 교육적 적용

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Foreign learners aiming for communication with Koreans have a keen interest in the speech act realization patterns of Korean language while Koreans are sensitive to the pragmatic failure of foreign learners. Because pragmatic failure by foreign learners take place in intercultural communication, it cant be fully explained from universal perspective. When foreign learners have to utter Korean speech act, they tend to refer to their own mother tongues because it is difficult to judge what verbal expression and strategy they have to use. Pragmatic transfer from native language implies that a study on speech act should be researched from the viewpoint of cross-cultural pragmatics. In this respect, the present study looked into Korean speech act education from the angle of cultural specificity and reviewed precedent studies on speech act and its education from the perspective of cross-cultural pragmatics. It led to a finding that many of studies on speech act in Korean language education have been conducted in terms of cultural specificity. In addition, it was known that increasing number of foreign students studying in Korea contributed to activating the research in cross-cultural speech act. However, it seems that Korean textbooks fail to provide an explicit teaching activity to improve pragmalinguistic competence and sociopragmatic competence. Therefore, it is necessary to make an pragmatic effort to put the results of cross-cultural studies into action in school.
