It is hard to find a successful story of new product although many new products are introduced in the market. However, major characteristics of successful products truly exist. This case study investigates new product development process and major factors of success through LG Electronics’ new product, Solar Dom. Major successful factors of Solar Dom are to find customers potential demand for the gas oven product and to develop a new product providing healthy food cooking with reduced cook time through the technological innovation. Another factor can be to design customer-oriented convenient functions through marketing research. Although markets are very competitive, customer-oriented technological innovation product can be successful in the market.
