This article has the characteristic of Jeon In cheol directing theory. It tried to check the turning point and meaningful changes in whole works till now since debut in 2006 and review the direction method with examples of specific work. The inductive method was used to simultaneously solve somewhat general and specific tasks. It aimed to find the identity of the characteristic of storytelling with spreading Jeon In cheol directing work which is difficult to be explained into one and confirmed the repeats of expansion and change with engagement of social drama directing. It is the important factor to make a big difference of Jeon In cheol directing although it is similar to the traditional method based on storytelling. To summarize the consistent aspect in various attempts, it is the respect for forgotten value and the interest for alienated being in the aspect of subject, and it exerts the virtue of acknowledging the nature of representation of the play but not reproducing it in the aspect of form.
The works which show well the aim of social drama to investigate our society are < Yellow envelope > and < XXL leotard Anna Sui hand mirror >. These two works exerted a big impact on Jeon In cheol directing work with engagement of new trend of Korean play since Sewol Ferry Incident. The first breakthrough work of Dolpagu, < XXL leotard Anna Sui hand mirror > has various meanings, which was discussed in the aspect of the importance of research for the value of social drama and challenge with new concept not to alienate actors and props. Further, as we could notice play of science topics as the experiment to differentiate it from the traditional recreation method, we looked into how to perform the task of imagination expansion of audience through < Waiting for you >. We could confirm the more specific differentiation through < Women on earth > among works which did well the process of reading performance-tryout performance-main performance as we looked into the directing methods by the breakthrough running method of Dolpagu. After play of science topics, the consciousness of keeping the audience in mind became stronger, and while acknowledging the nature of the play's representation, the directing elements to escape it were further reinforced by revealing the segmental effect of the narrative in this work. The effect of the breakthrough method of Theater Company Dolpagu by co-work with actors and dramaturg on the establishment of direction and aim seems to be considerable.
