공무원 정년연장 정책영향 분석 = Policy Effects of Extension of Retirement Age for Government Employees

Our society has faced with severe low fertility rates and fast aging issues.
These demographic changes will result in the lack of labor force and will increase the cost of social welfare. The extension of retirement age for government employees has been discussed as one of the policy issues to resolve these problems.
Extension of retirement age would affect personal welfare by raising income with the extension of working peri여s， and by decreasing pension benefits with the reduction of pension entitlement periods. It also would affect national finance by increasng government budget for remuneration of government employees and by reducing pension expenses for the empl이rees. The purpose of this study was to provide useful information for policy makers, analyzing the effects of extension of retirement age for government employees on personal welfare and national finance.
The major findings of this study indicated that extension of retirement age had positive eff농cts on both personal welfare of government employees and national finance.
