The purpose of this article is to estimate the precise rates of return to education using Ⅳ technique to solve the problems of Mincer-type earnings function. For this aim, based on KLIPS(Korean Labor and Income Panel Study) data of KLI(Korea Labor Institute) 2005, IV technique using father"s education/job level is adopted to estimate the rates of return to education.<BR>  The empirical findings of this paper are as follows. Second, the estimated returns to education using instrumental variables are equal to about 9.40% and 15.37% for male and female. Third, we find that father"s education and job level perform very well in IV procedures estimating schooling returns.
