여자대학생의 정서인식명확성과 신체자각이 외상 후 성장에 미치는 영향 = Influences of Emotional Clarity and Body Awareness on Posttraumatic Growth of Female College Students

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the influences of body awareness on posttraumatic growth(PTG) of female college students after controlling for those of the pain perception level and emotional clarity. Data on traumatic experience, emotional clarity, body awareness and PTG of 125 female college students were collected through on-line and off-line surveys. Hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to analyze the data. In the first step of the analysis, both the pain perception level at the time of trauma and the current pain perception level were not significant predictors of PTG. In the second step, emotional clarity was found to be a significant predictor of PTG. In the third step, of the six body awareness factors, two factors(self-regulation, trusting) were significant predictors of PTG even after the influences of the pain perception level and emotional clarity were controlled for. The results indicate that body awareness regulating emotional pain and trusting the safety of one’s own body may be helpful to PTG. Finally, implications of the results for PTG interventions for female college students with traumatic experiences, limitations of this study, and suggestions for further research were discussed.
