사용자 중심의 웹사이트 네비게이션 디자인을 위한 도구의 개발

This study developed a tool which can design navigation so that users may find contents that they need on websites easily and efficiently. The tool proposed in this study saved a considerable amount of time in analyzing a large number of menus and obtaining improved menu structures. Also, many designers and users could utilize the tool efficiently and analyzed and improved menu structures more easily and quickly.
∙ Developing a tool for user-oriented website navigation design
A tool has been developed to design navigation so that users may find contents that they need easily and efficiently on websites. Through literature research, the concept of the website and characteristics of users have been summarized. By designing the scenario of the tool and the screen and determining the direction, modules for input, storage, statistic analysis, and screen display have been developed.
∙ A case study to verify utility of the tool
In order to verify the developed tool, a case study was conducted where the tool was applied to an actual website. By utilizing the input and storage module of the tool, results of card sorting were input and stored. Through the menu analysis module, individual user menu patterns were put together and the goodness of fit of the menu category was calculated. T

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 웹사이트에서 사용자들이 원하는 콘텐츠를 쉽고 효율적으로 찾아갈 수 있도록 네비게이션을 디자인할 수 있는 도구를 개발하였다. 본 연구에서 제안한 도구를 통해 그동안 많은 수의 메뉴를 분석하고 개선된 메뉴 구조를 얻기 위해 들였던 상당한 시간이 줄일 수 있었다. 또한 많은 디자이너들과 사용자들이 효율적으로 활용하고 보다 쉽고 빠르게 메뉴구조를 분석하고 개선할 수 있었다.
∙ 사용자 중심 웹사이트 네비게이션 디자인을 위한 도구 개발
웹사이트에서 사용자들이 원하는 콘텐츠를 쉽고 효율적으로 찾아갈 수 있도록 네비게이션을 디자인할 수 있도록 도구를 개발하였다. 문헌 연구를 통해 웹사이트의 개념과 사용자 특성을 정리하고 도구의 시나리오를 설계하고 화면을 디자인하여 방향을 설정하여 입력/저장/통계분석/화면표시의 모듈들을 개발하였다.
∙ 도구의 효용성 검증을 위한 사례 연구
개발된 도구의 효용성 검증을 위하여 실제 웹사이트에 적용해보는 사례 연구를 실시하였다. 도구의 입력 및 저장 모듈을 활용하여 카드소팅 결과를 입력하여 저장할 수 있었고 메뉴 분석 모듈을 통하여 개별적인 사용자 메뉴 패턴을 종합하여 메뉴 카테고리 적합도를 산출함으로써 가장 적합한 메뉴구조를 만들 수 있었다. 그리고 화면 표시 모듈을 통해 메뉴 카테고리 적합도의 평균을 내어 카테고리 매칭률을 산출함으로써 이전 메뉴구조와 새로운 메뉴 구조간의 개선 정도를 정량적으로 분석할 수 있었다.
∙ 도구의 개선 및 보완
수집된 사례 연구 결과를 종합적으로 분석하여 도구의 효용성 검증하고 최종적으로 연구 결과를 통해 얻어진 연구 결과를 종합한 결과 기존의 방법과 비교하여 더욱 효율적으로 결과를 얻어 낼 수 있음으로 신뢰성을 확보할 수 있었다.
