The purpose of this paper was to conduct an experiment on the abrasion of TiSiN coated tools during high-speed milling of cold-formed steel grade D11 (SKD11).The material used in the experiment was cold-formed steel type D11 (SKD11), which is widely used in industrial fields.The cutting force was measured according to the depth of cut and wear during high-speed milling using a Ø6 carbide two-edged ball end mill coated with TiSiN.
A tool dynamometer and NI-DAQ equipment were used to measure the cutting force, and an experiment was conducted to measure the tool life of TiSiN-coated carbide ball end mills by comparative measurement of cutting force according to depth of cut and comparative measurement of cutting force according to tool wear.did.At the time of the advent of the 4th industry, the work material was selected as SKD11, which is widely used in mold making, from the viewpoint that the demand for mold processing will continue.
