Many progressive scholars argue that neo-liberalist thought now attacks goals that would provide education for the sake of education or for the good of the civic society. In this context, this study explored the methods to be able to perform the curriculum with progressive values in our educational settings. It also addressed how the process of curriculum has been institutionalized. This study argues that our survival depends on progressive values like human struggle and social justice aimed at improving the privileges of all groups. It claims that public schools need to be organized around a vision that links struggle to a new set of human possibilities. Finally, as citing perspectives of many progressive scholars, it points out that our primacy concern is to address the educational issue of what it means to teach students to think critically, to learn how to affirm their own experiences, and to understand the need to struggle individually or collectively for a more just society.
