LPGA 선수들의 경기력 예측을 통한 인도스먼트 적정시점 탐색 = The Exploring Appropriate Time of Endorsement by Predicting LPGA Players` Tour Performance Factors

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 LPGA 선수들의 효율적인 인도스먼트 계약을 위해 선수들의 향후 경기력을 예측하였다. 이를 위해 2004년 부터 2009년까지 LPGA에 진출한 한국선수 총 187명의 성적을 분석에 활용하였으며, LPGA(2010c)와 USGA(2007)가 제시한 주 요 경기력 요인을 기준으로 변인을 설정하였다. 분석은 SPSS ver. 18.0을 이용, 기술분석 및 Time Series Analysis를 이용하여 경기력을 예측하였다. 또한 문헌연구를 통해 현재 한국선수들의 인도스먼트 현황을 파악하였으며, 주요선수들의 심층 인터뷰 를 통해 정량적 분석을 통한 예측의 한계를 보완하였다. 이상의 절차를 거쳐 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 향후 3년간 평 균 예측값은 최근 성적(2009년)과 큰 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났으나, 예측 상한값을 기준으로 할 경우, 모든 요인에서 기록이 상승할 것으로 나타나, 향후 선수들의 목표성적 및 선수의 잠재력을 판단할 수 있는 준거가 마련되었다. 둘째, 후원계약 시 경 기력 외에 고려해야 할 요인으로 선수의 외모와 언변 등을 들 수 있다. 셋째, 체력이 뒷받침되면 심리적으로도 안정을 찾을 수 있어 경기 중 집중력과 자신감에도 긍정적 영향을 미침을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로 인도스먼트 적정시점은 선수가 프로 및 LPGA에 적응기를 거친 후 계약을 체결하는 것이 바람직하며, 계약기간 3년, 성적에 따른 인센티브를 강화한 계약이 바람 직한 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구와 같이 스포츠 경기 현장에서도 경기력 예측을 활용하여 선수의 경기력을 객관적으로 판단하고 예측할 수 있는 모형 및 프로그램의 개발이 필요하다. 이를 통해 선수의 강점과 약점을 파악하고 후원계약 시 그 결 과를 토대로 당사자 간의 이견을 좁힘으로써 성공적인 계약을 이끌어 낼 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to predict Korean players`` future performance factors in LPGA in order to the appropriate timing of their endorsements. The data were used 187 Korean player``s performance stats in LPGA from 2006 to 2009, and 6 variables were taken based on LPGA(2010c) and USGA(2007) were suggested. Descriptive analysis and Time series analysis were conducted using SPSS win 18.0. Also studied present endorsement condition of Korean players through literature studies and conducted in-depth interview of five Korean celebrity LPGA players about their opinions for endorsement. The Results of the models predicted that maximum predicting values of all performance factors would appear to be better than 2009. Therefore these results can be use one of the criteria for determine players`` potentialities. According to in-depth interviews, another exclusive of performance factors while determine endorsement were appearance and eloquent speakers. and If players maintain their physical strength, can be strong psychological stability, and then players can concentrate on their performance. Also these results suggest that the appropriate time for an endorsement is after they have adapted time in LPGA or lookie year. And 3 year agreement is recommended with strengthened incentive payments based on the player``s performance rather than a huge amount at the beginning of the endorsement agreement. Therefore, when the company wants endorsement with players, should be decide appropriate time through based on these results and approaching methods.
