부부갈등과 초등학생의 표출 불안과의 관계: 자아탄력성의 중재효과 = The Relationship between Marital Conflict and Manifest Anxiety of Elementary School Students : The Moderating Effect of Ego-Resiliency

The purpose of this study was to investigate the moderating effect of ego-resiliency in the relationship between marital conflict and manifest anxiety of elementary school students. 541 Children who are in the 5th and 6th grade at 4 elementary schools participated in this study. Data were collected with the structured questionnaire of marital conflict, ego-resiliency and manifest anxiety. T-test, Simple Correlation Analysis, and Hierarchical Regression Analysis were performed to analyze the data. Results of this study were as follows. First, there were no differences in marital conflict, ego-resiliency and manifest anxiety according to sex and grade. Second, marital conflict had a significant positive relationship with manifest anxiety, and ego-resiliency had a significant negative relationship with marital conflict and manifest anxiety. Third, ego-resiliency moderated the relationship between marital conflict and manifest anxiety. Results of this study were discussed in relation to previous studies, and intervention to improve ego-resiliency was suggested for child counseling practice.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 부부갈등과 아동의 표출 불안과의 관계에서 자아탄력성의 중재효과를 밝혀 아동상담 장면에서 부부갈등으로 인한 스트레스의 부정적인 영향을 예방하고 치료하는 데 필요한 기초자료를 얻는 데 있었다. 이를 위해 부산광역시에 소재한 초등학교 4곳의 5, 6학년 남녀 아동 541명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고 수집된 자료를 t-검중, 상관분석 및 위계적 중다회귀분석을 통해 분석한 결과 다음과 같은 결과가 도출되었다. 첫째, 성별과 학년에 따른 부부갈등과 자아탄력성에서의 차이는 유의하지 않았으나 표출 불안에서의 차이는 유의하였다. 둘째, 부부갈등과 아동의 표출 불안 간에는 정적인 상관관계가 있고, 자아탄력성과 아동의 표출 불안 간에는 부적인 상관관계가 나타났다. 셋째, 아동의 자아탄력성은 부부갈등과 표출 불안과의 관계에서 중재역할을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 부부갈등이 표출 불안에 영향을 미치는 것은 사실이나 부부갈등에 대한 지각이 높다고 해서 반드시 표출 불안을 더 경험하는 것은 아니며, 아동의 자아탄력성의 정도에 따라 그 영향력이 감소될 수 있음을 보여주는 것이다. 결론으로 자아탄력성을 증진시키기 위한 개입은 부부갈등으로 인한 스트레스의 부정적인 영향을 예방하고 치료하는 데 유용하므로 아동상담의 실제에서 적극적으로 이루어질 필요가 있음이 논의되었다.
