『니니귀성』의 이인칭 대명사 연구 = A study on a title of honor of 2nd personal pronounce in 『NiNiGwiSeong(你呢貴姓)』

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper clarifies publication year of NiNiGwiSeong(你呢貴姓), a Chinese languange study book, in the late Chosun dynasty and reviews its textual values, thereby discussing phonological and semantic features of the 2nd personal pronounce “Ni ne(你呢)” in NiNiGwiSeong(你呢貴姓). Although the book was compiled by a single person, it is a very valuable document to study the linguistic phenomenon of modern and contemporary transitions in that it faithfully reflects the spoken phenomenon of Chinese in the late 19th century and early 20th century. In this paper, the publication year was assumed to be 1996 and “Ni ne(你呢)” appeared in this literature is a semantically honorific expression and phonologically has “Nin (您)” sound by analyzing the characters in the literature. This paper found that the premature of the honorific personal pronounce of “Nin(您)” in the contemporary Chinese is “Ni ne(你呢)” and the word “Nin(您)” was already existed in the spoken language at that time. The origins of “Nin(您)” in contemporary Chinese have not yet come to consensus by the Chinese academia. The discussion in this paper is expected to contribute to the study of the origins of “Nin(您)”.
