남북한 문장 부호 규정의 비교와 통시적 이해 = A Diachronic Understanding and Comparing Punctuation Rule of South and North Korea

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Form and function of punctuation marks in South Korea and North Korea are far from each other, in that their current rules of punctuation are quite different. Current paper investigates specific period and reason of differences between South Korea and North Korea by comparing their contemporary form and function of punctuation marks with diachronic perspective. Diachronic analysis is rather proper to analyze motivation which differentiates punctuation rules between South Korea and North Korea and the process of change than analyze contemporary rules only, and supports fundamental analysis of differences. Specifically, this paper discusses ‘when’ and ‘how’ the punctuation rules started to be changed independently, which are separated from the same starting point < Hangulmachumbeob Tong-il-an >(1933), and ‘what’ makes them different.
