국가 직무능력표준(National Competency Standards)의 순수 미술 분야 적용 가능성 탐색 = An Exploration on the Possibility of Applying the National Competency Standards(NCS) to the Field of Art

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This research study was conducted with the objective of examining the possibility of applying the National Competency Standards (NCS below) to the field of art. To achieve the objectives of this research, an art college with the goal of fostering artists was assumed, and by utilizing the guidelines of NCS, the knowledge, skills, and attitudes etc. required for an artist to complete their duties were systemized to deduce relevant education subjects and to establish a corresponding education curriculum. According to the 9 steps of development presented by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, the responsibilities of an artist were divided into producing artwork and managing artwork, and to select the core duties of the artist, each of these responsibilities was again categorized into conception and expression, and displaying and marketing artwork. After drafting a unit ability specification that reflected K(Knowledge), S(Skills), and A(Attitudes) for each of the selected core duties, relevant education subjects were deduced. According to the processes, the possibility and strengths of developing an art college education curriculum based on NCS was discussed. In accordance with the trends of the times, this research study attempted to present a method to restructure the education curriculum of art colleges, and based on this proposed restructured program, it is expected that in-depth discussions on the development of an art college education curriculum that focuses on the professional abilities of artists can be expanded upon.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 국가 직무능력표준(National Competency Standards: 이하 NCS)의 미술 분야 적용 가능성을 탐색하기 위하여 수행되었다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위해 미술관련 직업 중 작가 양성을 목표로 하는 미술대학을 가정하고 국가 직무능력표준(National Competency Standards)의 가이드라인을 활용하여 ‘작가’ 직무를 수행하기 위해 요구되는 지식, 기술, 태도 등의 내용을 체계화하여 교과목을 도출하고 교육과정을 수립하였다. 산업인력공단에서 제시한 9단계의 개발 절차에 따라 ‘작가’ 직무의 주요 책무(Duty)를 작품 제작, 작품 관리로 나누고 각각의 책무를 구상과 표현, 전시와 홍보로 나누어 핵심작업(Task)을 채택하였다. 채택된 핵심 작업에 따른 K(지식)/S(기술)/A(태도)를 반영한 능력단위명세서를 작성한 후 교과목을 도출하였다. 이를 토대로 NCS를 기반으로 한 미술대학 교육과정 개발과정 중 예상되는 어려움과 제안점, 장단점과 가능성을 논하였다. 본 연구는 사회 변화에 발맞추어 미술대학 교육과정을 개편하기 위한 한 방안을 제시하고자 하였으며 이를 토대로 미술대학에서 직업 역량을 중심으로 한 교육과정 개발에 관련한 논의가 확산 및 심화되기를 기대한다.
