      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      The purpose of this study is to find and analyze the readers' attitude factors and negative/positive cues about free newspaper through comparing with daily(pay) newspaper. Many kinds of free newspaper have founded and they have influenced significantly on the existing newspaper market. Also the readers of free newspaper go on increasing. The result of this study is as following.
      The results of the survey show that there are remarkable differences in using patterns between free newspaper and daily newspaper. Respondents were usually preference daily newspaper more often than free newspaper in a source credibility.
      As free newspaper have the advantages of the convenience and the life news, it could firm its place as the most powerful competition media in the existing daily newspaper, and at the same time as the new competitor in the territory of the existing newspaper market in only two years after appearance.
