폭력적 극단주의와 대테러리즘에 대한 연구 = A Study on Violent Extremism and Counter-terrorism

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recently, various political, religious, and cultural extremisms are being discussed as one cause of terrorism around the world. In addition, it presents the dangers of socially vulnerable groups affected by various types of extreme messages. In particular, we are closely watching the seriousness of the impact and potential spread of violent extremism. The world as well as the UN are recommending the need to analyze the actual situation and risk factors of violent extremism inflow into their countries, and to establish countermeasures. Also, multidimensional approach is required because this violent extremism spans many areas, including society, economy, religion, education, and development. In addition, since the motives for participation in terrorism are also analyzed in various ways, including political, religious, cultural, socioeconomic and personal reasons(poverty, social dissatisfaction, curiosity, etc.) serious discussions on violent extremism and terrorism are needed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 전 세계는 테러리즘의 한 원인으로 다양한 정치적․종교적․문화적 극단주의를 논의하고 있으며, 다양한 유형의 극단적 메시지에 영향을 받는 사회적 취약계층이 증가하는 위험성을 제시하고 있는 실정이다. 특히, 폭력적 극단주의의 영향과 확산 가능성의 심각성에 대해서도 예의 주시하고 있으며, UN뿐만 아니라 세계 각국은 폭력적 극단주의의 자국내 유입 실태와 위험요인을 분석하고, 대응방향을 수립해야 할 필요성을 권고하고 있다. 이러한 폭력적 극단주의는 사회, 경제, 종교, 교육, 개발 등 여러 분야에 걸쳐 있기 때문에 다차원적 접근법이 요구되고 있다. 아울러 테러가담의 동기 역시 정치적․종교적․문화적 이유 및 사회경제적․개인적 이유(가난, 사회적 불만, 호기심 등)까지 다양하게 분석되기 때문에 폭력적 극단주의와 테러리즘에 대한 진중한 논의가 필요하다.
