터키 대학에서의 한국문학 교육 현황 및 교재 분석 - 터키 에르지예스 대학교 <한국어문학과>를 중심으로 - = The Textbook Analysis and Overview of Korean Literature Education Programs at the Universities in Turkey, with a focus on the Korean Department at Erciyes University

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Three national universities in Turkey offer Korean literature classes; Ankara university in 1989, Erciyes university in 2000 and Istanbul university opened up in Korean language and literature department in June, 2016. In recent years, some more universities in Turkey have planed to open Korea related department. However, the recognition and popularity of Korean literature in Turkey remains relatively low and the research and textbook development regarding Korean literature in Turkey has been limited and scarce as well.
Aiming at the promotion and expanding of effectiveness of Korean literature education in Turkey, this paper examined the education program of Korean literature at Erciyes University, Turkey and its problems. Moreover, it analyzed the textbooks of Korean literature at that institution. The textbook of modern Korean literature history, Modern Kore Edebiyati Tarihi written by Hatice Koroglu Turkozu, will be widely used in the universities in Turkey. The book is the first Turkish book on Korean literary history in Turkey. However, the historical explanations of this book is simple and limited, so that Turkish readers would be difficult in clearly understanding Korean literature.
The most important thing is to develop a wide variety of textbooks and teaching materials on Korean literature in order to expand and promote the education of Korean literature at universities in Turkey. There are many different kinds of textbooks on Korean literature in great need at an university in Turkey. It is effective and ideal for Korean and Turkish teachers to collaborate in the course of developing and writing of Korean literature textbook.
