노인들의 사회참여활동 유형별 결정요인에 관한 연구 = Determinants of Social Participation Activities Among the Elderly Persons

The purposes of this study were to examine major determinants of social participation activities among the elderly persons, and to analysis some relationships among social participation, socio-demographic factors, health factors, and economical factors. This study analyzed 4040 elderly persons over 65 out of 2008 Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging(KLoSA). The descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and logistic regression were used for the data analysis in this study. Socio-demographic model, health model, economical model and total model were analysed in logistic regression in this study. This study found that the respondent's sex, ages, education, subjective health status, IADL, CES-D10, regular exercises, subjective economic status, and monthly allowances were major determinants of social participation activities among the elderly persons. Finally, some implications and suggestions were discussed for developing more effective approaches of social participation activities among the elderly persons, the major roles of social worker, and improvement of public policies regarding social participation for the elderly persons.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 노인들의 유형별 사회참여활동에 결정요인을 규명하기 위하여 인구사회적인 요인, 건강관련 요인 및 경제관련 요인 등으로 구분하여 분석하였다. 본 연구의 분석 자료는 2008년 고령화 연구패널(KLoSA)을 활용하여 조사시점 당시 65세 이상의 4040명의 노인들의 사회참여활동 결정요인에 대하여 분석하였다. 연구대상자들의 주요 특성과 유형별 사회참여활동 실태는 빈도와 백분율 등의 기술적 통계를 통해서 산출하였고, 연구대상자들의 주요 변수들과 유형별 사회참여활동 간의 관계는 상관관계 분석을 활용하였고, 그리고 유형별 및 전체 사회참여활동 결정요인들을 규명하기 위하여 인구사회적 모형, 건강관련 모형, 경제관련 모형 및 종합모형으로 구분하여 이항 로지스틱 회귀분석(Logistic Regression)을 활용하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 노인들의 사회참여활동의 주요 결정 요인들로는 성별, 연령, 교육수준, 건강상태, IADL, 우울감(CES-D10), 정기적 운동, 계층의식 및 용돈 등으로 조사되었다. 끝으로 본 연구 결과들 중심으로 노인들의 사회참여활동 활성화를 위한 유형별 사회참여활동의 개선방안, 사회복지사의 역할 및 제도 개선 등에 대한 제언 및 함의를 논의하였다.
