Auditory integration training is an intervention interested for children with disabilities, particularly, children with sound sensitivity. Using of this treatment is increasing recently. Therefore, Parents and professionals need to have correct informations about this intervention. The purposes of this study were to analyze domestic and abroad experimental studies about auditory integration training, and also to find out the effects of auditory integration training on children with disabilities. Studies reviewed in this study were 31 experimental studies from 1993 to 2003 related to auditory integration training. The results of this study were as follows: First, considering studies realities, a half and more studies were studied through only experiment group without control group. therefore limitations of research design were found. The tools of data measurement were related language, behavior, attention, auditory problem, sound sensitivity, audiogram, and so on. The methods of data measurement, about a half studies measured only 1 pre-treatment and 1 post-treatment. therefore limitations of data measurement methods were found. The mean numbers of subjects were 54.5, but 1 subject or 2 subjects studies were found considerably. In these case, it is difficult in reliability of studies. Devices used in AIT were AudioKinetron and Earducator. 30 studies used AudioKinetron, and 1 study used AudioKinetron and Earducator. Second, considering AIT`s Effects, most of studies reported positive effects about AIT, the most effective area was auditory/sound sensitivity, the next areas were language, behavior.
