The purpose of this study is to investigate the pollution characteristics of groundwaters in Kansan city.
Volatile organic compounds such as TCE(tri-choroethylene), PCE(tetruchloroethylene),
1,1,1-trichloroethane, THM(trihalo-methane), dichloromethane, pesticides such as diazinon, parathion, malathion, toxic inoganic matters such as As, Hg, Se, Cd, Al, Cr6+, oder, taste and phenol were not detected in the groundwaters.
Mean values of groundwater pollution indicators were bellow drinking-water standards, but Bacteria, Total Coliforms, Pb, Mn, NO3-N and NH3-N, total solid and pH exceeded a little in some samples.
