한국신약학회의 역사Ⅰ(1961~1994)

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한국신약학회는 작년으로 창립 50주년을 맞았다. 이 글은 한국신약학회의 반세기 역사 중 처음 33년 반을 비판적으로 개관하고 성찰함을 목적으로 한다. 이 기간은 창립회원들이 전적으로 헌신한 기간일 뿐만 아니라 또 ‘지배’한 기간이라는 점에서 이후의 기간과 다르다. 처음 12년 남짓은 왕성한 의욕과 희망의 기간이었다면, 다음 22년 가까이는 안주와 긴 침체의 기간이었다. 초심과 동인은 무엇이었고 이를 퇴색케 한 것은 무엇이었나 비판적으로 성찰한다. 이 글은 그것이 사람에 대한 관심과 학문에 대한 열정이라고 규정한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The New Testament Society of Korea (NTSK, hereafter) celebrated the fiftieth-year birthday last year (2011). This paper is a critical reconstruction and evaluation of the thirty two years history of the NTSK (1961-1994). This period is compared to the later period (1994-2011) in that the founders of the NTSK not only showed their committed and sacrificial lives but also monopolized power throughout the whole period. First twelve years of it were a period of hope and enthusiasm whereas the following twenty two years were a long period of indolence and decline. This paper shows that the most important historical factors which decide either a success or a failure was whether or not the NTSK had a sincerity and earnestness for people (members) and New Testament scholarship as an academic discipline.
