국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 “뒤 피크 사상의 현대적 함의: 「전투연구」의 정신전력을 중심으로”를 분석한 것이다. 그의 생애와 「전투연구」의 저술 배경, 그의 「전투연구」 의 개요 및 정신전력분석, 그의 정신전력사상의 현대적 함의를 살펴보았다. 그는 그의 「전투연구」로 유명해졌고, 전투에 있어서 인간적 요소(정신전력요소)의 중요성, 양보다 질적 우선 군사력건설 등을 주장하여 프랑스군 개혁에 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 그의 정신전력사상의 요지는①훈련과 단결력, ②전투에서의 사기, ③지휘관의 우수한 자질과 군기, ④전투원의 정신전력, ⑤전문화된 정예부대 등이다. 또한 그의 정신전력사상의 현대적 함의는 ①단결을 위한 정신전력 교육·훈련 강화의 중요성, ②사기와 군기 등 인간중심의 정신전력사상 강조, ③고대 전투연구를 통한 현대 전투연구 및 군 개혁의 이론화, ④과학적 전투기법의 사용, ⑤전문직업군 제도 강조 등이다. 그는 인간의 전쟁주체성, 인간의 전쟁공포심과 극복의 중요성을 강조하고, 전투가 전투 집단의 물질적 충돌 아닌 정신적 충돌임을 주장하여 전투에서 정신전력의 핵심성을 잘 지적해주고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper aims to analyze the modern implications of Ardant Du Picq's thought: focusing on the spiritual combat power of 「Battle Studies」. To this end, we examined his life and the background of his writing of 「Battle Studies」, the outline of his 「Battle Studies」 his spiritual combat power analysis, and the modern implications of his spiritual combat theory. He became famous for his 「Battle Studies」 and had a great influence on the reform of the French military by arguing the importance of the human element(spiritual combat power element) in battle and the priority of building military power over quantity. The main points of his mental power theory are ①training and unity, ②morale in battle, ③excellent qualities and military discipline of commanders, ④spiritual power of combatants, and ⑤specialized elite units. In addition, the modern implications of his spiritual combat power theory are ①the importance of strengthening spiritual combat power education and training for unity, ② emphasizing human-centered spiritual combat power theory such as morale and military discipline, ③theorizing modern combat research and military reform through ancient combat research, ④the use of scientific combat techniques, and ⑤emphasizing the professional military system. He emphasized the importance of human subjectivity in war, human fear of war, and overcoming it, and argued that combat is not a material conflict of combat groups, but a spiritual conflict, thus clearly pointing out and explaining the core of spiritual power in combat.
