한국의 다문화연구 현황

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한국사회는 오랫동안 단일민족국가의 신화에 몰입되어 있었으며, 이러한 사회적 분위기를 개선하려는 노력은 학계와 교육계 및 사회단체 등을 통해 진행되어 왔다. 이미 오래전부터 학계의 각 분야에서는 문화의 통합과 충돌에 대한 연구가 상당 부분 진척되어 왔다.
문학 분야에서는 비교문학연구, 문화연구 등을 중심으로 다문화 패러다임의 가능성에 대한 분석이 행해졌다. 역사학 분야에서는 특히 전근대사의 각 단계에서 나타났던 교류와 교역을 통한 문화의 전파와 융합 및 정착과정임을 밝히는 연구들이 진행되어 왔다.
철학 분야에서는 문화철학이라는 분과가 독립되어 있어 지속적이고 일관된 연구가 진행되었으며, 이는 타자와 관련하여 갈등을 다루는 이론으로 구체화되어 실천철학에 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 사회과학분야에서는 민족갈등, 통합모델 및 세계화 등에 대한 연구가 진행되고 있으며, 법학 분야에서는 외국인뿐만 아니라 장애인 등에 대한 모든 형태의 차별을 철폐하여 인권평등을 보장하는 조치를 취해야 한다고 주장한다.
하지만 각 분야에서 광범위하게 다루긴 했지만 아직까지도 서양에서 생성된 이론을 단순히 수용하는 데 그치고 있으며, 실제적 논의는 사회학과 정치학의 방법론으로 접근하는 실정으로 인문학적인 접근 방법에 입각한 통합적인 패러다임 제시가 아직 없다는 점이 아쉽다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Korea Society, for a long time, has been immersed in the mythology of a single nation, these efforts to improve the social environment have been progressed through the academic world, educational community, and social organizations. In each area of academic world, the research on integration and conflict of the culture has been much progressed.
In the field of literature, the analysis on the possibility of multi-cultural paradigm focusing on comparative literature and cultural studies, culture has been done.
Also, in the field of history, it has processed research on propagation, fusion, and settlement process of the culture through the exchange and trade seen in each step of the premodern history.
In the field of philosophy, it has been a continuous and consistent research as an independent sector philosophy of culture, which has been refined as the theory dealing with conflicts related to other perspective and much affected in practical philosophy.
In the field of social science, research on Ethnic conflicts, integration models, and globalization have been done. the area of law argue that it should take measures to eliminate all forms of discrimination and guarantee on human rights for equality on people with disabilities as well as foreigners.
But, if they managed to the extensive application in each field, Western theory has just accepted. Practical approach to discussing is only limited to the methodology of the sociology and political science, so approach the situation based on the general paradigm centering the humanities has not yet been proposed.
