리더십론이 관점에서 본 조선조 왕실 전통이 형성 : 제가(齊家)'의 방법론을 중심으로 Focusing on the Methodology for 'Regulation of the Family' = Tradition-formation of the Chos?n Royal House from Viewpoint of Leadership Theory

국문 초록 (Abstract)

조선은 500년이 넘는 장구한 세월동안 유지도니 세계사에서 그 유례가 별로 없는 왕조국가였다. 이러한 체제유지의 장구성과 안정성의 요인을 분석할 때 필자는 왕가 그 자체의 내부적 역량에 관심을 가질 필요가 있다고 판단하였으며, 그 중에서 특히 왕실이 '제가'를 위한 징치에 특별히 주목하였다. 왕조시대에 있어서 왕가는 당대 최고이 명문가였으며, 이 왕가는 군주를 정점으로 하여 결속되어 있었다. 또한 유교정치이념을 기반으로 하는 조선왕조에서는 '수신제가치국평천하'라는 확고한 정치이념이 자리잡고 있었으므로 지배계층의 대표자인 군주와 왕실이 도덕적 정당성과 우월성을 확보하는 문제는 왕정의 성패를 좌우하는 핵심사안이었다. 따라서 왕실과 군주는 자신들의 도덕성과 통치역량을 최대화함으로써 지배의 안정성을 영속화하고자 하였던 것으로, 왕실 전통의 형성은 이러한 목적에서 오랜 세월 동안에 걸쳐서 정립되었다. 그리고 '제가'의 문제에 관하여 효경, 형내, 교자, 친친, 근엄, 절검 등의 내용에 관한 왕실의 전통이 정립되었고, 역대군주들은 '제가'를 위한 왕실 전통을 준수함으로써 왕실의 화합과 단결을 이루고, 국가적 지배의 토대를 공고히 하고자 노력하였던 것이다. 이와 같은 왕실의 '제가'를 위한 노력과 그에 관한 고찰은 오늘날 한국사회에서 건강한 가정의 수립과 운용, 그리고 그것을 바탕으로 한 안정적이고 평화로운 정치공동체의 운영이라는 측면에서 커다란 시사점을 주고 있다고 판단된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Focusing on the methodology for 'regulation of the family', this study aimed to analyze tradition-formation of the Chos?n Royal House from viewpoint of leadership theory. And, as for main data for this study, WangJoSilLok and HongJaeJeonSeo, which is Jungjo's private literature, were used. As for national system of dynasty, all of the politics, economics, society and culture could be realized by king's diagnosis, treatment and order. It is, therefore, a very important subject that, for solving the problem at that time, what kind of governing leadership was used and what was the limit of that. Kings and ruling class had respect for royal family's rules, which was inherited-tradition in royal family. In the period of Chos?n Dynasty, royal family's rules enabled kings' and ruling class's leadership to reinforce. Royal family's rules had put emphasis on morality. By means of royal family's rules kings and ruling class could strengthen the dynasty and stabilize the politics. That is to way, kings and ruling class could make successful efforts to maintain the dynasty through royal family's rules.
