국내․외 체육박물관의 사례분석을 통한 국립체육박물관의 방향성 모색 = A Study on the Direction of the National Sports Museum through Case Studies of the Domestic and Foreign Sports Museum

국문 초록 (Abstract)

체육은 인류문명의 시작과 더불어 시작되었지만, 여러 분야별 다양한 주제박물관이 설립되고 난 이후에서야 비로써 박물관으로 그 가치를 발현하게 되었다. 이제까지 체육을 주제로 한 국내와 해외 박물관들은 대부분 높은 대중성을 기반으로 한 스포츠라는 문화적 현상을 전시하는데 주력하고있다. 이에 기존 박물관들의 전시와 운영을 종합적으로 분석하여 국내 최초로 건립될 국립체육박물
관의 방향성을 제시하고자 한다.
첫째, 체육의 역사와 관련된 여러 종류의 유물들은 역사․문화적 배경과 지역사회마다의 맥락속에서 등장한 것으로 그에 대한 충분한 조사연구를 진행함으로써 관람객들이 충분히 이해할 수 있는 정보를 제공하여야 한다. 둘째, 체육은 단순한 물질문명이 아니라 정신문명과의 조화를 통해 발전해 온 것으로, 어떠한 사실과 해석의 왜곡, 신화의 재생산, 그리고 지나치게 스포츠영웅만을 찬양하는 체육박물관의 모습은 지양해야 할 것이며 당대의 체육과 역사, 문화를 함께 보여주어야한다. 이를 계기로 체육유물이 지닌 가치를 통해 한국 체육의 발자취를 기념하고 보존하여 체계적으로 관리할 수 있는 박물관으로 개관하길 기대해 본다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Physical education began with the beginning of human civilization. However, it was only after the establishment of various theme museums in various fields that physical education revealed its value as a museum. So far, museums in Korea and the year have focused mostly on displaying the cultural phenomenon of sports based on high public popularity. From now on, we will present the direction of the National Sports Museum, which will be built for the first time in Korea, by analyzing the exhibition and operation of existing museums.
First, various kinds of artifacts related to the history of physical education emerged in the context of history, cultural background, and communities. It is at the point of the museum s exit that it must provide information enough for visitors to understand by conducting sufficient research on him.
Secondly, physical education has developed through harmony with mental civilization, not mere physical civilization. Given this, the gym should avoid any distortion of its facts and interpretations, reproduction of myths, and its excessive praise of sports heroes. And it is necessary to show together the sports, history and culture of the time.
With this, I hope that the museum will open its doors to celebrate, preserve and systematically manage the footprints of Korean sports through the values of the formula.
