정서지능 향상 프로그램이 만 2세 영유아의 정서지능 및 사회정서행동에 미치는 효과 = The Effect of Improving Emotional Intelligence Program on 2-year-olds' Emotional Intelligence and Social-emotional Behavior

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to develop a program for improving two-year-olds' emotional intelligence, and to analyze the effects of the program on their emotional intelligence and social-emotional behavior. The program was developed based on Mayer and Salovey Emotional Intelligence model and integrated to the standardized child care curriculum of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family. 58 two-year-olds(28 subjects in the experimental group and 30 subjects in the comparative group) participated in this program. Results indicate that the experimental group displayed a higher level of emotional intelligence compared to the comparative group in the post-test. Also, children in the experimental group were more likely to increase their social-emotional competence whereas a decrease in problematic behavior was observed rather than children in the comparative group. Based on these findings, we conclude that an emotional intelligence program provides an appropriate education for young children, and needed to improve their emotional intelligence and support their social- emotional competence.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 만 2세 영유아의 정서지능 향상을 위한 프로그램을 개발하였고 이를 어린이집에 적용하여 그 효과를 검증하였으며, 정서지능 향상 프로그램이 사회정서행동에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 본 프로그램은 Mayer와 Salovey의 정서지능 모형에 기초로 만 2세 표준보육과정의 내용에 통합될 수 있도록 구성하였으며, 만 2세 영유아 58명이 연구대상(실험집단 28명, 비교집단 30명)으로 참여하였다. 정서지능 향상 프로그램의 효과를 검증하기 위하여 실험집단과 비교집단의 사전점수를 공변인으로 한 공변량 분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 실험집단 영유아가 비교집단의 영유아보다 정서지능 전체 점수와 정서조절, 정서의 이용, 타인의 정서 인식 및 배려,또래와의 관계에서 유의하게 높게 나타났다. 또한 정서지능 향상 프로그램은 비교집단에 비해 실험집단 영유아의 사회정서행동에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 실험집단의 영유아가 사회정서적 유능성에서 유의미한 증가를 보인 반면 문제행동에서는 감소를 나타냈다. 이러한 연구결과는 정서지능 향상 프로그램이 만 2세 영유아의 정서지능과 사회정서행동에 효과적이었음을 보여준다.
