사회복지사의 문화적 역량 척도 개발 연구

The present study aimed to develop a cultural competency scale for social workers and to analyze psychometric properties of the scale based on the awareness of theoretical as well as technical problems in present cultural competency scales. This study followed each step for scale development which was introduced by DeVellis. Literature review, professional study, social survey were employed. Five professors in social work participated to specialist investigation. 334 social workers from 121 organizations completed the questionnaire. The results of an exploratory factor analysis showed that the cultural competency of social workers consisted of five common factors: cultural belief and self awareness, cultural knowledge, cultural skill, cultural sensitivity for social institution and environment, cultural implementation. all of construct validity, criterion validity, and convergent-differential validity were satisfied. The reliability was acceptable with Cronbachs alpha of 0.93.
