This study was to examine from psychological viewpoint through the questionnaire the opinions, on the religious of the college students in Korea.
I tried to compare with the opinions of Christian students and non-christian. With that result, to examine the effects of Christian education and to grope the direction of that in future is purpose of this study.
These main findings obtained from the study are as follows;
1. A religious tendency
a. A religious tendency is more firm Christian groups than non-christian.
b. Christian students were more christianized than non-christian.
c. In the respect of the effects it found to have no difference between Christian education being composed in schools and in other fields.
d. In general, a religious tendency of female was firmer than that of male.
2. Christian tendency
a. Christian groups showed affirmative response on Christian items and non-christian groups negative response.
b. Non-religious groups of the mission school took a middle of the neutral attitude.
c. Christian tendency of female was more firm than that of male.
3. The opinions of religious value
a. Even groups which shown negative response on Christian items were acceptable on the value or role of the religion.
b. While most students showed the religious response affirmatively they thought to be wrong the religious force them to believe.
4. Most students gave a higher value to a religious doctrine and seemed to have endowed a religious spirit naturally.
5. Social attitude
a. The religious groups was conservative on the religious items and the non-religious on the social items.
b. Female was more moderate than male.
6. Non-religious groups were appealed stronger than religious groups in the consciousness of the ego or self-will.
7. The demands on present religious affairs most students pointed out general religious affairs as follows;
a. The way of missionary work have fallen always behind with the development of the times.
b. The present religious is not for the people nothing but religion for religion.
c. The ministers were spoiled.
d. The factional strife is serious.
e. A religious ritual is excessively formal.
f. Pan-religion is wishful to be in the world.
