체육유물 관리기관의 현황과 과제 = Trends and Tasks in Preserving and Managing the Sporting Relics of Korea

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Relics are the critical resource in conducting research in history as those describe the fact of that moment. For sport history, relics related to sports play a significant role in doing research, too. Even though the elite sporting society of Korea is highly recognized in the world, preserving and managing the sporting relics of Korea is still problematic. Therefore, this paper aims to define the concept of sporing relics, to investigate the reality of the preservation and management of sporting relics, and to discuss on how to solve the problems with the sporting relics preserved and managed under an individual and the institutions. The change in realizing the importance of sporting relics as well as the establishment of law takes precedence over all else so as to preserve and manage the sporting relics as a whole. The sporing relics involve important historical facts, which show the historical sporting events. It helps strengthen the identity of Korean sporting society and promote the meaning of a sporting practice to engrave the narratives of the sporting relics into sport history.
