Polymerizing mixtures of polymerizable PEO-oligomers with a matrix polymer content of 0-40 wt.% yielded mechanically stable polymer electrolytes with an ionic conductivity of 10^(-4) to 10^(-5) S/㎝. Analyses of the complex impedance in the frequency range 100 mHz to 10 MHz and the temperature-dependent conduction behavior of the electrolytes in the range 0-75℃ showed that blending the PEO-based system with SARAN, which has high T_(g) and good film-forming properties, has little effect on the ion-conducting behavior of the polymer electrolyte. Plasticizers were added to this system to improve the ionic conductivity with low weight percentage, because adding plasticizer makes the polymerization difficult.
