중소기업의 규제부담 완화방안 = Reducing Regulatory Burdens of Small and Medium Enterprises

The effect of regulation on small and medium enterprises(SMEs) is not proportional to their sizes. While large corporations have resources to cope with government regulations, SMEs generally lack such resources that they have hard time dealing with regulations. In developed countries, government considers the nonproportional effect of regulation on SMEs when they design a new regulation.
Unfortunately, we have not paid sufficient attention to the adverse effects of regulations on SMEs, despite consistent efforts of regulatory reform for the last several decades. As a result, comulative effects of regulations on SMEs in Korea became unbearable in certain circumstances.
Thus, the purpose of this study has threefold; 1) to understand the current status of deregulation efforts of Korean government for SMEs, 2) to find out benchmarks of other countries by searching cases adoptable to Korea, and 3) to develop new strategies and policies for Korea to help SMEs cope with government regulations.
