그림책을 활용한 죽음 교육이 유아의 죽음개념 및 죽음불안에 미치는 영향 = The Effect of the Education about Death Concepts through the Picture book on Children's Recognition of Death and Fear of Death

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether there are any differences in young children's recognition of death and fear of death after participating education about death concepts through picture book. The subjects in this study were 79 four and five years old children(38 experiment group, 41 control group). who were enrolled in D preschool located in Seoul. Data were analyzed for the mean, standard deviation, t-test and ANCOVA on the pre-score and post-score to find out significant in recognition of death and fear of death. The findings were as following: First, education about death concepts through the picture book affected young children's recognition of death and fear of death. Second, young children's recognition of death and fear of death in the experimental group was better than the control group. However there was no significant differences between four and five years old group.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 죽음을 소재로 다룬 그림책을 통한 죽음교육이 유아의 죽음에 대한 개념과 죽음불안에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 서울시에 소재한 어린이집 만4세와 만 5세 유아 총 79명(실험집단 38명, 통제집단 41명)이었다. 연구결과 첫째, 그림책을 활용한 죽음교육은 유아의 죽음개념을 향상시키는 것으로 나타났다. 죽음개념 하위요인 인과성, 노화성, 비기능성, 비가역성, 필연성 모든 영역에서 실험집단의 유아가 통제집단의 유아보다 죽음개념에 대한 인식이 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 그림책을 활용한 죽음교육은 유아의 죽음불안을 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. 죽음불안 하위요인 자신의 죽음불안, 자신의 임종과정에 대한 불안, 타인의 임종과정에 대한 불안이 감소된 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 만 4세와 만 5세 죽음교육에 의한 죽음개념과 죽음불안은 연령차이가 나타나지 않았다.
