문학적 ‘통이(通異)’와 문학사적 통합 : 북한문학 연구의 존재 증명 = Literary Communication and the Unity of Literature History -the Existence Verification of Study on North Korean Literature

국문 초록 (Abstract)

2008년 보수적인 새 정부가 들어선 이후 North Korean literature 연구는 정체를 면치 못하고 있다. 연구 침체의 원인은 객관적 정세의 변화라는 객관적 요인뿐만 아니라 방법론적 진전이나 새로운 agenda를 제출하지 못한 주관적 요인에서도 찾을 수 있다. 이 글에서는 ‘연구의 위기는 연구자의 위기’라는 문제의식을 가지고 북한문학 연구의 위상과 쟁점을 정리하였다. 현재 남북관계는 통일에 대한 철학이나 구체적인 프로세스가 없이, ‘악의적 무시’ 전략을 통하여 상대에게 갈등의 책임을 떠넘기는 형국이다. 북한 당국은 김일성과 김정일의 개인 숭배를 위한 ‘수령문학’과, 군대식 사고방식을 앞세운 ‘military-first (revolutionary) literature’의 전면적 강화로 주민을 이념적으로 통합하려 한다. 그러나 ‘Juche literature’ 을 보편이론으로 일반화하려는 노력에도 불구하고, 위기에 놓인 체제를 유지하려는 정치적 강박증의 산물이라 아니할 수 없다. 오히려 『황진이』 같은 리얼리즘문학으로의 복귀, ‘6.15 민족 문학인 협회’의 결성(2006)과 기관지 『통일문학』(2007년 창간)의 간행 같은 노력이 더 중시되어야 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study on North Korean literature has been delayed since the inauguration of conservative government in 2008. The stagnation in the study is caused not only by the objective reason, or the change of objective political situation, but also by the subjective reason, or the absence of methodological progress or new agenda. This Study arranged the position and issue of North Korean literature with a sense of problem, 'the crisis of the study could be just the crisis of researcher.' The current relation between the two Koreas is under the situation that they pass the responsibility for the conflict between them to another, through the strategy of 'vicious indifference' without the philosophy on unification or the concrete process. Pyeongyang government is trying to unify the people under one ideology, through strengthening wholly 'chieftain literature' for individual worship towards Kim Il-seong and Kim Jeong-il and 'military-first (revolutionary) literature'. Despite making efforts to make 'Juche Literature' universal, no wonder North Korean literature was produced by the politically compulsive idea to keep the regime from the crisis. However, it is thought as more important to come back to realism literature, such as Hwang Jin-yi, to organize 'The 615 Association of Writers for Korean National Literature' and to publicize a government agency-running magazine Unification Literature.
