관광객의 기후변화인식에 따른 관광위험, 관광만족 및 행동 의도 차이 검증을 통한 제주 관광 경쟁력 제고 방안 = Exploring the Differences in Travel Risk and Tourists’ Satisfaction and Behavior Intention on Jeju Tourism According to the Perception on Climate Change

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was designed to recognize the implication on climate change adaptation plan in tourism sector exploring the differences in travel risk and tourists’ satisfaction and behavior intention according to the perception on climate change. To this end, we examined the demographic differences in the perception on climate change, and verified the differences in travel risk and tourists’ satisfaction and behavior intention according to the perception on climate change.
The result of survey shows that there were significant differences in the perception on climate change between the Korean and Chinese. Korean has higher score in climate change awareness and attitude, and Chinese in perceived climate change risk and behavior intention then the other group. Another important result is that the group with higher perception than average on climate change (awareness, attitude, risk perception, behavior intention) perceives greater travel risk than the other group does. Finally, the group with higher score than average in the perceived climate change risk and behavior intention seems to be more satisfied with, and intend to repeat and recommend travelling to Jeju. More implications and future research directions are suggested.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 기후변화의 영향으로 쓰나미, 폭설 등의 발생 빈도가 증가함에 따라 관광위험에 대한 관심도 증가하고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 기후변화 인식과 관광위험, 관광만족 및 행동 의도 간 관계를 탐색하여 관광위험 측면의 기후변화 대응 방안에 대한 시사점을 제시하고자 설계되었다. 이를 위해, 관광객들의 인구 통계적 특성에 따라 기후변화인식이 차이가 있는지를 살펴보고, 기후변화 인식에 따라 관광위험과 관광 만족 및 행동의도에 차이가 있는지를 검증하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 인구 통계적 변수 중 국적에 따라기후변화 인식에 집단 간 유의한 차이를 보였다. 내국인은 기후변화에 대한 인지와 태도에서, 중국인은 기후변화에 대한 위험 지각과 저감 의도에서 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 기후변화 인식(인지, 태도, 위험 지각, 저감 의도)이 평균 이상인 집단이 평균 이하인 집단에 비해관광 위험도 높게 지각하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 기후변화에 대한 위험 지각과 저감 의도 보다는 기후변화에 대한 인지와 태도에 따른 집단 간 차이가 더 크게 나타났다. 마지막으로, 기후변화에 대한 위험 지각과 저감 의도가 평균 이상인 집단이 평균 이하인 집단보다 관광 만족 및 행동 의도에서도 높은 평균을 보였다. 이상의 분석 결과를 종합하고 시사점과 향후 연구 방향을 제시하였다.
