      The purpose of this study is to explore the way to build peace competency as an educational solution to the problem of global violence era. In this article, peace education was defined as “the educational practice to build competencies to help the life activity through the various levels of relationship.” Peace competency was defined as the ability to create peace through the four levels of our daily life relationship. The researcher suggested three ways of building peace competency, and those were education about peace, education through peace, and peace education through pursuing the essence of education itself. Education about peace is the peace education in which we teach knowledge, skills, and attitude related with peace. Education through peace is the peace education in which we build peace competency through the latent aspects of education such as educational methods, relationship, and climates. Peace education through pursuing the essence of education itself is the indirect peace education through reflecting our educational practice in the perspectives of peace although we don’t emphasize peace apparently.
