혼성복합을 통한 대학로 문화지구 내 주거, 문화 복합공간의 건축구상 = An architectural proposal of the housing & culture complex facility in Daehakro culture district through hybrid complex

The purpose of this study is to gesture for design method from architectural worry about destruction of local identity hidden in the other side of production of many multi purpose facilities by high density of modern society.
Multi purpose facilities by high density outwardly seem various but it appear architectures of use to contain uniform consumption culture because the architecture are planed by commercial demand of modern society. And it make inroad or extinction local identity formed for a long time.
There is Daehakro between this phenomenon. Daehakro is changing into commercial area anywhere can see. Now Daehakro speedily change into commercial area that lose culture identity formed naturally.
The site is old housing block located in culture district boundary of Daehakro and the site has a high possibility changed commercial area in a short time.
The design issue of this study is summarized three.
The first, hybrid complex of meaning of not simply development of culture facility to preserve local identity of Daehakro but complex of new program put into the present housing program try. The second, for a method to put into local identity of Daehakro, through analysing local feature of Daehakro, make it architecture space. The third, now most auditorium in Daeharkro are inferior facilities transforming underground room. Through work to take out auditorium on ground, make local identity of Daehakro a new.
The architecture is not simply technical action to design space. These experiments have meaning of socal role that now our problems solve of export at least.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 현대사회의 고밀화로 파생되는 여러 복합용도의 건축물 양산의 이면에 숨어있는 지역성의 소실현상에 대한 건축적 고민으로부터 시작된 디자인 행위이다. 고밀화에 따른 복합용도의 건축물들은 일견 복잡 다양한 형태를 보이고 있지만, 현대 사회의 상업적 소비문화의 수요에 맞춘 상업시설들로 계획됨으로 인해 오래전부터 이어져 형성된 지역적 특성을 소멸, 잠식해가며 획일적 소비문화를 담는 용도의 건축물들로 나타나고 있다.
이러한 현상들 사이에 고유의 지역적 특성을 상실하며 어디에서나 볼 수 있는 소비상업지로 변모하고 있는 대학로가 있다. 현재의 대학로는 자연스럽게 형성된 문화적 특성을 소실당한 채 상업거리로 빠르게 변모하고 있다.
설계의 대상지는 대학로 문화지구의 경계선상에 위치하는 머지 않아 상업적 용도로 잠식당할 가능성이 높은 낡은 주거블럭이다.
대학로의 지역성을 유지하기 위한 본 설계의 주안점은 3가지로 요약된다. 첫째, 대학로 지역성을 유지하기 위한 단순히 전면적 문화시설로의 재개발이 아닌 기존의 주거 프로그램을 담아나가면서 새로운 프로그램을 심는 의미의 혼성적복합을 시도한다. 둘째, 대학로의 지역성을 담을 수 있는 건축 공간을 구상하기 위한 방법으로 대학로의 지역적 특성의 분석을 통해 그것을 건축 공간화 시킨다. 마지막으로 기존 대학로의 열악한 지하개조 공연장 프로그램을 지상으로 끌어내는 작업을 통해 대학로의 지역성을 새롭게 마련한다.
본 연구는 건축이 단순히 공간을 디자인 하는 기술적 차원의 행위가 아닌 인문사회학적 사고를 바탕으로 지금 우리의 문제를 해결하거나 최소한 드러낼 수 있는 사회적 역학을 가질 수 있다는 데 의의를 두고 진행하였다.
