Restroom is a necessary living space of daily life for anyone regardless of age or gender. The restrooms des ign is a good indicator of social or cultural development as showing the status and image of the place with th e restroom. Communication start with the image of the information. These days, people literally start their mornings and end their days with information overload. As a Korean proverb “What looks good tastes good”, the era of restroom infographics showing only users’ gender with mono tonic or tasteless design was over to the design conscious citizen in 21st century. Infographic design delivers easy and prompt but clear message with unique images conveying full informations. Even a meal pro vides multiple function and features, like style, enjoyment, ,conversation, physical and emotional satisfaction, s ocial networks in addition to nutrition and fullness. The design and the function of a restroom have shifted fr om a room satisfying the physiological needs to providing multiple features, such as, peaceful rest, sanitatio n, make-up with beautiful pictures, peaceful music and aromatic scent. As fashion changes by season or era, along with advances in functionality, the dvelopment of the restroom infographic design considering users’ taste an d convenience based on unique surrounding of a specific location has become necessary. This study presents the necessity of design improvement in restroom infographics through investigating vari ous local restrooms and analyzing their methods, colors, and materials.
