      In the operation of a church music program, certain problems arise between pastors and church musicians and among church members as well.
      One such problem is that of financial compensation for church music leaders. Unless the church has a full-time music pastor or music intern, some church leaders expect church musicians to provide their services voluntarily, without any payment.
      A church music leader should plan and oversee the entire music program with a pastoral point of view. Professional respect is also appropriate, because a well-trained church music leader will contribute to growth of the church and to the beauty and holiness of the church's public worship services.
      This thesis was written with the intention of helping the music ministry in the local church become more effective and successful, and therefore seeks a Biblical understanding of compensation and explains the content and execution of music ministry.
