최준민의 『夢驚世慮』 연구 = 일반 독법과 기독교적 독법의 비교를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

〈몽경세려〉는 1902년 《그리스도신문》에 실린 단형 서사이다. 이 작품은 여기에서처음소개되는것이다. 이작품은조선시대문학의형식과 소재를 활용하여 작가의 의도에 따라 재창조된 것이다. 조선시대 몽유록 형식을 충실히 따르고 조선시대에 유통하던 ‘재물을 독차지하려다 셋 다 죽은 도둑이야기’의 내용을 이용하여, 탐심에 가득 찬 세상과 개인의 욕망으로부터 벗어나는 모습을 담았다. 하지만 언뜻 보면 보편 윤리적 교훈을 담은 것 같은 이 작품은 사실 성경 문구나 비유까지 다수 활용하여 기독교의 교리를 행간에 깊이 담은 소설임을 분석하였다. 이작품은, 봉건시대전통을 이어 새로운 사상을 담되, 주제를 생경한 어투로 노출하지 않고 완성미를 이룬 글이라고 할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Monggyeongwerye is a short epic appeared first in Geuriseudosinmun(그리스도신문) 1902. This article would be an initiative attempt to reintroduce to general readers in our contemporary. Monggyeongserye, indebted much to a literary style and theme of Chosun era, seems to be reshaped by the author. It sticks to the style of Mongyurok published in Chosun. The theme appropriates a rampantly heard story of “the three thieves dead in the aftermath of fighting each other only to take all the possession,” in order to generate a clever characteristics of overcoming personal and secular desires. At first glance, however, the reader cannot find that sort of biblical perspectives influenced on this renovated story-retelling. Behind a general ethics found in the story do echo Christian doctrines by quoting not a few biblical passages as well as parables between the lines. Conclusively, Monggyeongserye made use of a feudal tradition to generate an innovate idea, of which a literary style reached to a consummate level in the way that the author hid the themes through hiring equivocal languages.
