‘수행적 전환’으로 읽는 우엘벡의 종말 문학 = ‘Performative Turn’ and Houellecbecq’s Apocalyptic Literature

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In Everything Was Forever Until It Was No More, Yurchak A. describes the everyday life of the Last-Soviet people in the concept of ‘Performative Turn’. According to him, the daily life of citizens, filled with rituals, was a dynamic and creative space in which the interaction between constative dimension and performative dimension of discourses open up new constative meanings. Their rituals, on the one hand, led to the confirm of standard discourses, while on the other hand towards its deconstruction. This paper builds on the hypothesis that the drivers of the ‘Performative Turn’ are not in ‘Soviet’ but in ‘Post-’. Is not it in progress here and there in unritual rituals of our daily life?
Trying to answer this question, we suggest an analysis of Houellebecq’s novel which shows a sharp reflection on the ‘Post-’. Our research takes the ‘Pratique Sémiotique’ theory of Fontanille J. as the analysis tool.
