This study investigated the perspectives of prospective child care teachers about the storybook. Although the importance of storybook is well known, there is limited use of storybook in the field. To make good use of storybook, specially the role of teacher is important. So this study inquired the perspectives of prospective child care teachers about the storybook to approach teacher education concerning the storybook on the basis of their perspectives. The results of the study were summarized in three categories: first, the prospective teachers recognized the storybook have the educational value which can teach instructive lessons; second, participants tended to agree that the thoughts and attitudes are changed by the medium of storybook; third, participants told that they will choose the storybook which include the educational factors for children. Finally, we know that the prospective child-care teacher`s perspectives on the storybook is limited, so educators for the prospective child-care teacher must try to provide more various contents about the storybook.
