교회건축 예배공간의 의장적 상징성 계획방향에 관한 연구 -이용자 인지를 중심으로- = A Study on the Planning Direction of the Aesthetical Symbols in Worship Place of Protestant Church Architecture

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to verify the importance of aesthetical symbols in worship place as a planning factor of Church Architecture by the questionnaire to architects, religious workers like preachers, and users of selected churches. This research has been done on the assumption that aesthetical symbols can positively influence the growth of faith to the users, one of the essential purposes of Church. Another purpose of this study is to give the planning direction of how to apply aesthetical symbols properly into Church Architecture to improve users' cognition. It is done by understanding the architects' and religious workers' importance value of aesthetical symbols and by understanding analysis and characteristics of the users' cognition about aesthetical symbols. The conclusion of this study can be summarized as follows. When aesthetical symbols are used on worship place of Church Architecture, the users showed different cognition on each symbol by following factors - symbol factors, the space symbol is used, the design elements in Architecture, design principles in Architecture, design techniques in Architecture, and the way of presentation.
