백포(白圃) 서일(徐一)과 대종교 - 그 정체성(正體性)의 여정(旅程) -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 대종교 지도자였던 백포 서일의 활동을, 그 정체성(正體性)을 중심으로 연구한 글이다. 그러므로 서일의 정신적 방면에 중점을 두고, 그 가 독립군들을 지도하던 용기와 지혜의 원천을 살펴보았다. 특히 종교적 수행과 연구 속에서도 항일투쟁을 함께 할 수 있었던 그의 정신을 군교일 치(軍敎一致)와 수전병행(修戰竝行)이라는 관점에서 바라보았다. 그리고 그 러한 정신의 배경에 스승인 홍암 나철과의 만남이 있었음을 알 수 있었다. 이후 서일의 모든 행동은 대종교 중광의 정신과 연결되었다. 그의 독립운 동지도자로서의 행적이나 그의 철학적 업적 역시 그 정신 속에서 나타난 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This thesis focuses on the activities of Baek po(白圃) Seo-Il(徐一), a Daejonggyo(大倧敎) leader, and his identity. Therefore, focusing on Seo-Il's spiritual field, he looked at the source of courage and wisdom in guiding the independent forces. In particular, he viewed his spirit of being able to engage in armed struggle even in religious practice and research from the perspective of ‘Gun-gyo-il-chi(軍敎一致)' and 'Su-geon-byeong-haeng (修戰竝行)'. And it can be seen that there was a meeting with his teacher Hong am(弘巖) Na-Cheol(羅喆) in the background of that spirit. Since then, all of Seo-Il's actions have been linked to the ‘Joong gwang(重光)’ spirit of Daejonggyo. His deeds as an independence movement leader and his philosophical achievements also appeared in the spirit.
