      Using capacitors in braking system of large induction motors, it is possible to get braking torque produced by the self excitation action.
      But it is hard to obtain desirable braing torque in the latter half of braking time.
      In contrast with this, DC injection type has good braking torque in the latter half of braking time.
      The DC injection type capacitor generation braking method is described in this paper.
      The results of the experiments are as follows:
      1. It is possible to reduce the braking time in 2.5 second.
      2. Measuring the fixing voltage shift from capacitor generation braking to DC injection braking obtained the characteristie curve of speed-capacitor voltage.
      3. It is possible to reduce the overheating of induction motor by disperse the heat produced during braking time.
