介護予防を取り入れた商店街活性化に關する硏究 -北九州市 若松區 若松中心商店街連合會を事例として- = The case study of "action research" for shopping-streets development preventive health care for the elderly -Joint association of Wakamatsu central shopping-streets in Wakamatsu Ward, City of Kitakyushu-

自動車社會の普及により、郊外に量販店を中心としたショッピングセンタ-が立ち幷び、多くの人人が訪れている。一方、まち中と呼ばれる中心市街地における商店街の衰退が叫ばれるようになって久しい。ところが、商店街活性化に對する活動や對策は、言葉で言うほど活發ではない。 この活性化のキ-を握るのが、高齡者である。交通弱者ともいえる高齡者、この高齡者が商店街を支えていたと言っても過言ではない。そこで本硏究では、商店街を支えてきた高齡者が今後も、商店街を利用してもらうための方策として、介護予防を取り入れた商店街活性化の社會實驗を行う。この社會實驗では、高齡者にタ-ゲットを絞るものの不特定多數の人人を相手にするため、健康ということをテ-マに介護予防に關する取組みを住民と商店主が共同して實施した。 本報告は、商店街における實施內容とその效果を中心に論じる。この實踐活動から高齡者は、自分自身の體のことを氣遣うこと、生活のための買い物も必要だが、さみしさを紛らわすために子どもとの交流を求めていることが分かった。

The suburbs are lined with shopping centers and big-box retailers as a result of the widespread adoption of the automobile in society, thus increasing the access of customers. On the other hand, shopping streets are on the decline. When discussing "shopping street revitalization activities", the use of the word "activity" seems an overstatement. The key to shopping street revitalization is the aging of society. It would not be an exaggeration to state that elderly people who do not drive are supporting shopping streets. This research conducted a social experiment on the elderly people who supported the shopping streets. By promoting their health and preventing them from becoming bedridden, it is hoped that the elderly will revitalize the shopping streets. This social experiment focused on elderly people, with emphasis on health and preventative health care. Both consumers and store keepers took part in the experiment. This paper discusses the contents and the effects of the social experiment. The author concluded the following: the elderly learned the necessity of looking after their own health, that daily life required shopping, and that interacting with children helped them mitigate loneliness.
