유아 영재의 연령 및 성별에 따른 K-WPPSI 수행과 창의성과의 관계에 대한 탐색 연구 = Exploring the Relationship between Creativity in Young Gifted Children and their Performance on the Korean Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence

To analyze the relationship between young gifted children`s performance on the Korean Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence(K-WPPSI) and their creativity, the K-WPPSI and the Torrance Test of Creative Thinking ) were administered to 57 young gifted children, 3 to 5 years of age. Data were analyzed by t-test, MANOVA, and Correlation. The results of this study are as follows: First, significant differences were not found between gifted boys and girls in their performance on the K-WPPSI, but there were both positive and negative correlations to each subtest. Second, there were no significant differences between boys and girls on TTCT, and no differences among 3, 4, and 5 year old children. Third, there were positive correlations of K-WPPSI and TTCT. Thus, the threshold of intelligence theory was not substantiated in this study.
