방과후 아동보육 프로그램의 모형 설계 = A Study on the Design of After School Care Program for Children

A Study on the Design of After School Care Program for ChildrenKwak, Eun-BogThis study is to review the policy papers on child care services in Korea and to raise some issues on school age child care policies. Childhood is regarded as the period when most important physical and social development occur, and most care-related behaviors are formed. After school health education is one of the major learning resources influencing health potential in the home and community as well as for the individual child. After school care, as the most fundamental concept for national care policies, aims for developing the self-control ability of general public. In order to achieve the goal of after school care program, it is essential to make a systematic assessment of the learner's concerns connected with his life, and the factors affecting them. Therefore, in this study the children and parent's concerns related to after school care program contents. On the basis of analysis of the basic advanced country care program was constructed to be used for the collection of data for main study. After school care program for children has to construct children and parent's needs, safety protect, affective comfort, creative activity and with good peer-relation promotion.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

맞벌이 부부의 증가, 편부 편모 등 다양한 가족형태의 증가 등은 방과 후 아동보육에 대한 수요를 증가시키고 있다. 방과 후 보육 발전을 위한 정부의 지원책은 양질의 방과 후 프로그램 개발을 지원하는 일로 요약될 수 있다. 주요 선진국에서는 방과 후 프로그램의 실시와 함께 방과 후 활동의 평가와 관련된 연구를 수행하여 그 결과들을 방과 후 프로그램 정책에 반영하고 있다. 방과 후 보육은 단순히 방과 후 자기 보호 아동의 증가 현상에 따른 안전과 보호의 문제를 해결하기 위한 보호서비스 프로그램을 넘어 아동의 발달적 요구에 부응하는 교육적 프로그램이어야 한다. 선진국의 방과 후 보육현황을 보면 아동의 안전한 보호를 목적으로 시작된 방과 후 서비스가 아동의 학업 능력 향상과 사회성 발달, 그리고 자아개념 발달을 위한 프로그램을 제공하는 등, 아동들에게 양질의 교육적 경험을 제공하는 서비스로 자리 잡고 있다. 방과 후 프로그램은 학교교육의 연장이 아니라 가정교육의 연장으로 규정하는 것으로 아동과 부모들의 요구를 반영하되 아동들이 즐겁고 행복한 생활을 할 수 있는 활동을 중심으로 이루어져야 하며 융통성 있게 적용될 수 있는 프로그램이 타당하다. 본 연구에서는 방과 후 보육의 개념과 선진국에서의 운영 프로그램을 모색하였고 이를 토대로 방과 후 보육모형을 보육목적, 운영원리, 활동 내용, 보육방법, 교사의 역할, 평가로 구성하였다. 방과 후 보육 프로그램은 건강한 아동문화를 조성하고 발전시키는 프로그램을 모색해야 할 것이다.
