종교가 초혼시기 및 행태에 미치는 영향 분석

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서 기존 연구와 관련통계를 통해 개신교 여성들이 다른 종교와 배우자 선택에 차이가 있음을 확인하고 그 이유를 밝히기 위해 종교를 가진 미혼여성 24명을 대상으로 심층면접조사를 하였다. 연구결과, 종교는 개신교 여성들에게만 배우자 선택과정에서 중요한 고려요인이었다. 개신교 참여자들은 전도, 헌금 그리고 생활행태에서 다른 종교참여자들과 차이가 있었는데, 이런 차이에서 오는 갈등을 피하고자 배우자의 범위를 같은 종교로 한정하는 경향이 있었다. 게다가 배우자 남성뿐만 아니라 남성 직계가족의 종교적 신념과 종교활동에 대한 이해는 우리나라의 남성중심 가족문화에서의 갈등발생과 직접적으로 연관되어 있다. 이는 개신교는 교회를 매개로 한국사회와 구별되는 가치관, 문화 그리고 생활행태를 가지는 공동체(community) 특성을 가지고 있다고 볼 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This research examine the meaning of suitable marriage partner for protestant women who live in the context of Korean society. Statistical data and related research paper have shown that there is difference between protestant women and women who have other religion to choose their marriage partner.
24 cases of in-depth interview was performed, seeking to implied meaning of ideal spouse. The result indicates that protestant women regards spouse's religion as important. Protestant culture including missionary work, offertory, and participation in religious activities is possibly conflictive with not only other religion also korean traditional culture. That is why protestant women set a bound for their marriage parter strictly. This phenomenon probably best interpreted a 'protestant community' which has shared value system, culture and lifestyle could be distinct from existing 'korean culture'. It would generate better insights into who want to defend this views in what circumstances in regard of marriage and how these views are related to patterns of solidarity of religious community.
