최근 급격한 지구 온난화로 하절기 폭염이 더욱 빈번해지고 있다. 여러 산업에서 폭넓게 사용되는 옥외 배전함은 폭염에 취약하며 내부 온도의 급격한 상승은 배전함의 기능 상실 및 연결된 시스템의 불능상태를 유발할 수 있어 온도 관리가 매우 중요하다. 본 연구에서는 선행연구에서 철도 레일용으로 개발된 차열직물의 구조를 옥외 배전함에 효과적으로 적용 가능하도록 개선하였다. 또한, 태양광 접속함에 적용하여 옥외 테스트-베드를 구축하여 약 3주간의 성능 테스트를 진행하였다. 테스트 결과, 배전함에 차열직물을 적용할 경우 기온 상승에 따른 내부 온도 상승 민감도를 약 43% 저감하여 최대 10.5℃의 온도 저감 효과가 나타났다. 이를 통해, 하절기 옥외 배전함의 온도 저감을 위한 목적으로 차열직물의 우수한 적용성을 확인하였다.

Recently, summer heat waves have increased in frequency as result of rapid global warming. Outdoor distribution boxes, which are widely used in the industry, are susceptible to heat waves, and a rapid rise in internal temperature can cause the distribution box to lose function and disable connected systems, so temperature management is critical. In this study, the structure of the heat insulation fabric (HIF) developed for railway rails in previous research was improved so that it can be used effectively on outdoor distribution boxes. In addition, an outdoor test bed was constructed by attaching it to a solar power junction box, and performance testing was conducted for approximately three weeks. The test found that applying HIF to the distribution box reduced the sensitivity to internal temperature rise owing to temperature rise by approximately 43%, resulting in a temperature reduction of up to 10.5℃. This demonstrated HIF’s excellent applicability for reducing the temperature of outdoor distribution boxes in the summer.
