Ⅰ. Introduction
Dir. Sin, Seungsu has always disappointed at making the social function of film in Korean film World. His debu work, <Jangsa eu Kum(장사의 꿈)> was described the daily life of porno actor. He selected this film as debu work because of talking about a social problem. He tried to overcom a boader of the social film and entertainment film by this film.
Ⅱ.
Dir. Sin, Seungsu was born in 1954 at Boryeong, Chungnamdo.
He applyed in ‘Yeongsang Sidae(영상시대)’ group as a assistant director in 1975. And he started in the assistant director of dir. Ha, Giljong whose work is <Byeoldeul eu Gohyang (별들의 고향)>in 1978. His debu work, <Jangsa eu Kum> maded in 1985.
After making this work he has maded the social film and comedy which dealt a daily life conflict of ordinary people and socilal problems.
Untill now he made 14 works. His filmograph is <Jangsa eu Kum(장사의 꿈)1985년>, <Dalbit Sanyangggun(달빛 사냥꾼)1986년>, <Seongya(성야)1988년>, <Palgan Yeobaeu (빨간여배우)1989년>, <Sutag(수탉) 1990년>, <araecheung Yeoja wa Wuitcheung Namja (아래층 여자와 윗층 남자)1992년>, <Seumul ilgopsongi eu Jangmi(스물 일곱송이의 장미)1992년>, <Gaseumdalrin Namja(가슴달린 남자)1993년>, <Gyeoiyag Keopeul(계약커플)1994년>, <Achi Apa(아찌 아빠)1995년>, <Halreluya(할렐루야)1997년)>, <Egstra(1989년)>, <Eolgul(얼굴)1999년>, <Africa(아프리카)2000년>.
The director's Spirit of Sin, Seungsu comes from his experience in daily life not from his will to express his special ideology.
Ⅲ. Conclusion
Dir. Sin, Seungsu was always difficult to determind making a work. He was been anxious for the result of social film to be success or not as a director and a producer. When we watch his situation, we will be realized what is the conflict of Korean director.
